● Who Is TILTD?

About TILTD

TILTD (Trust Issues Limited) is the company behind Interpreter Architecture: the discipline of mapping, designing, building, and protecting the network of interpreters, human and machine, that produces what a brand means in the world. Founded by Houston Harris and Ryan Carroll, TILTD began developing the discipline in 2024 and published the defining whitepaper in 2026.

About TILTD

Why we exist

We kept watching good companies lose deals they never knew were happening. A buyer would arrive already convinced a company was something it had stopped being years ago, and nobody could point to where the belief came from.

So we started asking the models directly. We would sit with a leadership team, type their company name into ChatGPT, and watch the room go quiet. The version that came back was not wrong on purpose. It was assembled from whatever signals were loudest, and most of those signals were old. You cannot argue with a screen showing you a company that has not existed for three years.

That pattern needed a name, because you cannot manage what you cannot see. We named the era, the network, and the discipline for managing it.

About TILTD

What we believe

Machines now interpret your organization to audiences you will never meet, in conversations you will never see, with zero briefing from you. Advantage in this era comes from coherence: whether the full network of interpreters produces the meaning leadership intends.

And the work is more hopeful than it sounds. Your organization already contains its own truth. The work is to render it interpretable. We are not in the business of inventing stories. The real thing is already in there, in the intent, the work, and the proof. It is locked in a form machines and markets cannot read cleanly, and we make it legible.

About TILTD

About the name

TILTD is short for Trust Issues Limited. The Interpreter Era runs on trust: specifically, the trust machines extend to your brand before any human conversation begins. When the interpreter network goes unmanaged, trust issues are what it produces. The name is a standing reminder of what we limit.

About TILTD

The founders

Houston Harris

Houston Harris is a co-founder of TILTD and co-author of the Interpreter Architecture whitepaper. He is also the founder of FreshRobot, a marketing and sales consultancy serving agencies, consultancies, and B2B manufacturers, where two decades of watching buyers arrive pre-convinced shaped the thesis TILTD is built on.

Ryan Carroll

Ryan Carroll is co-founder of TILTD and co-author of the Interpreter Architecture suite.

He has spent over twenty years in marketing, most of it building the kind of communications work that assumed a human would read it. He is managing partner of Full Metal Chicken, the agency founded in 2011, where that assumption held for most of a decade.

It no longer does. Machine interpreters now assemble what a brand means from whatever is circulating about it, and they hand that assembly to buyers as a single answer. Ryan's work at TILTD is on the discipline that governs it — mapping who and what is interpreting an organization, defining the meaning that has to survive interpretation and making misalignment measurable rather than anecdotal.
