Frequently Asked Questions

The practical questions leadership teams ask before working with TILTD. For what Interpreter Architecture is, see the discipline page; for what the diagnostic shows, see the BIA page. This page covers how the work actually runs.

FAQ

Getting Started

Where do we start?

With the Brand Interpretation Assessment. TILTD has a standing rule: we never sell strategy without seeing the network first. If you want a lighter first step, run the two-minute self-test (ask three AI assistants to describe your company) or take the directional ACES Score.

Who is TILTD for?

Leadership teams: CEOs, CMOs, and boards. The interpreter network cuts across marketing, sales, talent, and investor relations, so no single function below leadership can govern it. The work earns its keep most at moments of strategic change: post-pivot, pre-scale, ahead of M&A, or during category expansion.

What does an engagement look like?

The initial engagement runs 16 weeks across the four phases of Interpreter Architecture (Map, Design, Build, Protect), with monthly tactical reviews and quarterly strategic reviews. Protect then continues as ongoing governance, because meaning degrades the moment you stop managing it.

What do you need from us?

Four things. Access to leadership for Origin Interpreter interviews. Your existing brand assets: positioning docs, sales decks, website CMS access, and an inventory of third-party profiles. A named owner, a company principal accountable for keeping your meaning consistent. And a commitment of time for the reviews. You own the story; we build the network architecture around it.

FAQ

The Work

Do you replace our SEO agency?

No. SEO, AEO, and GEO are tactics that execute inside our Build phase, and we do not compete with them. We build the layer above: the defined meaning and the measurement that tells your existing stack what to aim at. Most clients keep their SEO partners and hand them sharper targets.

Do you run campaigns or rewrite our taglines?

No. We do not run campaigns, and we do not rebrand you. We map, design, build, and protect the interpreter network that produces your meaning. Campaigns amplify whatever meaning the network already holds; our job is making sure what gets amplified is correct.

Can't our marketing team do this internally?

Parts of it, once the architecture exists. The reason it rarely works as an internal side project: the network cuts across functions, the tooling only instruments the problem, and internal teams are structurally close to the intended meaning and far from how it actually lands. TILTD brings the discipline, the diagnostic, and cross-model benchmarks, then equips your team to hold the network through the Interpreter Briefs and the Protect playbook.

What if the AI is right about our weaknesses?

Then we say so. The assessment separates interpretation gaps (the network says something untrue or outdated) from substance gaps (the network accurately reports a real weakness). The first is architecture work and we fix it. The second is operations work, and papering over it with architecture would only delay the reckoning.

FAQ

Results and Measurement

How fast do results show up?

Interpretation changes can appear within about 60 days: AI summaries describing the brand as it is today, buyers arriving correctly framed, the right comparison lists. The compounding effects (shorter sales cycles, CAC compression, discovery shifting from paid to earned) build from day 61 onward as the network stays aligned.

How do you measure success?

Five conditions: inclusion rate, interpreter alignment, interpreter consistency, network latency, and legacy signal persistence. They roll into the Interpreter Network Health Score, a 0.00-to-1.00 composite reviewed quarterly. Conditions move before revenue does; that is the point of measuring them.

Can you guarantee the models describe us correctly?

No, and be wary of anyone who says yes. Models retrain, re-retrieve, and update on their own schedules; nobody controls their output. What we control is the network the models read: the signal quality, the structure, the retirement of legacy content, and the monitoring that catches drift when a model updates. That is why Protect is a phase and never a finish line.

FAQ

Commercial

What does it cost?

The engagement is scoped from what the Brand Interpretation Assessment finds; a network with two danger zones and one with nine are different projects. The BIA comes first, with no pitch and no obligation, so both sides can see the scope before anyone prices it.

Do we keep what you build?

Yes. The Meaning Blueprint, the Interpreter Briefs, the machine-readable meaning data, the benchmarks, and the playbook are yours. It is your meaning; our work is to render it interpretable, and the deliverables stay with you either way.
